The Mandatory feature makes all content compulsory across your organisation’s workspace. Whether for compliance-based training, or any other form of compulsory learning, the Mandatory toggle button - found when creating content in the Studio - is the only way to set content up like this.
Note✨: To find out where Mark as Mandatory is located, for your desired content type, head to the content creation chapter/steps, of its support article.
Previously the @Must Do Channel tag was used as a way to turn regular content into compulsory/compliance training. However the Mandatory toggle has replaced this.

FAQs and Caveats
When the Mandatory option is turned on for a Pathway, content included within it (Steps) are not automatically set as Mandatory themselves. This would need to be applied to the content individually.
Users who’ve already completed Mandatory content, but were unassigned later, will still have their completion reflected correctly.
Did I lose any Must Do content during the switch?
No. All existing MustDo content has been automatically set with the Mandatory toggle on.
Are my reports broken?
Reports will have remained the same, with no effect on values and percentages. Only the labels and column names have been updated to “Mandatory”.
Are bookmarked URLs broken?
No. Any workspace URLs that used the term “must_do” or “must-do” redirect to the new Mandatory pages.
With all previously assigned “@MustDo” content being switched to Mandatory, If I remove content from the Must Do Channel now, does it stop my content from still being Mandatory?
Channel assignment no longer influences whether content is Mandatory, so this won’t affect the content’s status, if removed.
If I duplicate content that has an active Mandatory toggle, will it stay active?
Yes. The Mandatory toggle will be left active.
