✅ Watch tutorials from a Course your learning, or listen to podcast audio embedded in a Nugget, all directly from within the Browser Extension - no need to switch tabs!
Your organisation may have already installed the awesome Browser Extension for you - if not, this can be done by the principal Google or Microsoft Admin.
For Chrome
Select My Profile > Integrations then the Install option on the HowNow Chrome Extension card.
2. You'll be taken to the Chrome Web Store. Select Add to Chrome
3. Once installed, you can complete the following steps:
Click on the Extensions icon (the puzzle piece) in the top-right of your Chrome browser.
Pin it to your browser toolbar (pin icon) and open the Extension.
Sign in to the Browser Extension, with the same login details as for the web app.
For Edge
Follow the same step 1+ 2, as outlined in the Chrome step. This will instead take you to the Microsoft Edge app page, where you can do the following:
1. You will see a banner explaining that Chrome extensions can be added to Edge.
2. Click Add to Chrome.
3. Once installed, go to Manage Extension (or enter the URL: edge://extensions).
4. Switch on the installed HowNow Extension, using the toggle button on the right.
5. Now switched on, you can complete the following steps:
Click on the Extensions icon (the puzzle piece) in the top-right of your Edge browser.
Show it in your browser toolbar (click the crossed-out eye icon) and open the Extension.
Sign in to the Browser Extension, with the same login details as for the web app.
Note✨: The HowNow Browser Extension surfaces relevant learning resources based on your context i.e. the web app or page you are on.
It does this by 'reading' the metadata, titles and domains of the webpage, to match it to content within your workspace's learning library.
