Here at HowNow, we believe that developing inclusive software improves the usability and experience for everyone.
Below is a list of the software elements that allow for everyone to have a great experience on the platform!
Keyboard Accessibility: Product functions can be executed from a keyboard, where the function itself, or result of performing a function, can be understood textually.
Screen Reader Support: UI element names, roles and values are designed to support a screen reader, with defined on-screen indication of the current focus.
User Settings: The HowNow app does not override user selected contrast and colour selections, along with any other individual display attributes a user has.
Visual Experience: We do not use flashing or blinking text, or other elements having a flash or blink frequency greater than 2Hz and lower than 55Hz.
Design Consistency: Where bitmap images have been used to identify controls, status indicators, or other programmatic elements, the meaning assigned is consistent throughout the application.
Accessibility Testing: Every new exciting feature is tested for Accessibility as a part of our overall User Acceptance Testing criteria.
