🙌 AI-Generated Skills Mapping is a HowNow Pro Plan feature. To upgrade Plans, your workspace Admin must speak to your organisation's CSM. 🙌

Mapping Skills to your content gives Users a clear indication of what they’re about to upskill on. This means your teams have an easier time prioritising their learning goals, and keeping track of the Skills they have and will soon gain.

Note: All internal content (made on HowNow), HowNow+ courses and Content Library courses (Udemy, Circus Street, Coursera, etc.) can have Skills mapped.

To get started with the mapping process, head to the Content page and select Map Skills via the 3-dot menu of your chosen content item.

This will open the Add Skills slide screen, showcasing the following options:

  • Skills Developed - from here, you can start mapping Skills to the content.

    • Search for an array of Skills from within the library.

    • Then use the drop-down Competency Level menu to pick from 1-5. This is the level your Users will be expected to have reached, by completing this content. You'll also have the competency-level explainer.

A maximum of 10 Skills will always be added to a content item, each time. You can remove these by clicking the "x" option.

  • Map Skills with AI - this gives you the power to use HowNow’s AI magic. Again, up to 10 Skills will be added based on the content title's keywords, description and more. Great if you're unsure of which Skills are relevant for the given course topic(s).

You won't be able to Map Skills again, unless at least one of the Skills listed, is removed.

The Skills Mapping slide-out screen can also be opened from the Skills column, via the Content page.

Check out our video tutorial below...

Note: the Skill Level Competency explainer found in the slide-out, was later implemented after the recording of this video, so won't be featured...
