Add Embed content as an alternative way to provide content to your Users - it's also a great way to add in extra detail and make more engaging content too!

You can embed anything with an iFrame into the content so your people can access it directly. Great for presentations, forms, videos, games and polls!

  1. When creating a Course or Nugget, just select the Embed icon

  2. Copy and paste the embed code of your chosen content and click Save.

Provide a custom height for viewing - enables you to set the height of your video, using pixels (e.g, "500px").

4. Click Save & Continue to finish the steps to publish!

Note✨: It's important to ensure that the source page - the page your embed originates from - allows its content to be embedded, externally.

If you are embedding from your organisation's own source pages, then the admins of these pages, can change permissions via the content settings or website configurations/permission section.

Here are the 2 most common...

  • X-Frame-Options: The older, standard way to control embedding.

    • Deny: No one can embed your site.

    • SameOrigin: Can only be embedded on the source page

  • Content-Security-Policy (CSP): Updating the frame-ancestors option.

    • frame-ancestors 'none': Blocks all embedding.

    • frame-ancestors 'self': Allows only you to embed it.

    • frame-ancestors 'self' https://trusted-partner.com: Allows your organisation's website and external embedding.

Many third-party websites often block content from being embedding externally, due to security measures. In such cases, using a hyperlink that directs to the content, or uploading it as a downloadable file, is best.
