The display name for emails is the sender name people see in their inbox when HowNow emails them, for example "Northwind Learning" instead of your company's legal name.
Before you start
You need Admin access to see the WORKSPACE section in Settings.
Change the sender name
Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Settings.
Under WORKSPACE, select General.
Under Identity, edit Display name for emails (up to 75 characters). Use a name
people recognise, so your emails aren't ignored or marked as spam.
Click anywhere outside the field.
The name saves automatically, with no Save button or confirmation message. Emails sent from then on show it in the From line.
For example: Northwind Learning no-reply@hownow.tech. Emails already sent keep the old one.
Remember: This name appears on emails to everyone in your workspace, including welcome emails, assignments and reminders.
Good to know
The name can't be blank. If you clear it, you'll see Display name is required and nothing is saved.
You can't change the sender address. Only the name changes; the address stays HowNow's no-reply address. Contact email is greyed out and is used for billing and account notifications, not as the sender. Ask HowNow support if it needs to change.
It's separate from your workspace name. Changing one doesn't change the other.
