If your team builds courses in Easygenerator, publish them straight into HowNow instead of exporting and uploading a SCORM file.
Before you start
HowNow turns the Easygenerator connection on for your workspace. If Use Easygenerator isn't under Create a Course, contact your HowNow customer success manager.
You need an Easygenerator account that uses the same email address as your HowNow account. If the emails don't match, the publish fails and nothing arrives in HowNow.
You need Admin, Manager or Contributor access to publish the course once it arrives.
Publish a course
Select + at the top of the sidebar, then Create a Course › Use Easygenerator. Easygenerator opens in a new tab.
Build your course in Easygenerator, then publish it to HowNow from Easygenerator's publish options.
Wait a few minutes while HowNow processes the package.
In HowNow, select Manage › Content, then View on the Drafts card. The course is there as a SCORM course, with the name, description and cover from Easygenerator.
Open the course, check it launches, then publish and assign it as you would any course.
The course goes live in your workspace. Admins can find Easygenerator courses in Manage › Learning by choosing EasyGenerator under Source.
Update a course you've already published
Publish again from Easygenerator. HowNow updates the same course rather than creating a new one.
Remember: Republishing replaces the course's name, description and cover with the ones from Easygenerator, so any changes you made to these in HowNow are lost. People who are partway through the course are notified that it has changed.
Good to know
The person who publishes becomes the course's verifier, with a 30-day verification interval. You can change both in HowNow, but republishing resets them.
Course names are cut to 75 characters.
Export Gradebook in Manage › Learning › Assessments is only offered for Easygenerator courses.
