The default language is the language HowNow's menus, labels and messages appear in when someone joins your workspace. Each person can still change their own language afterwards.
Before you start
You need Admin access to see the WORKSPACE section in Settings.
Set the default language
Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Settings.
Under WORKSPACE, select General.
Under Language, open Default language and choose a language.
The new default saves as soon as you choose it. There's no Save button or confirmation message.
Note: The default applies to each person when they first sign in. People who have already signed in keep their current language.
Good to know
People can override it. Anyone can choose their own language in Settings › Profile › Preferences. If an existing member wants the new language, ask them to change it there.
It also sets the starting language for the HowNow mobile app and the browser extension for new members.
It doesn't translate your content. Course titles, descriptions and other content you create stay in the language they were written in.
