Reporting on Reviews means collecting the right quantitative and qualitative data, to improve your organisation’s learning strategy and User satisfaction.

To start gathering your Users’ feedback on content they’ve learned, head to the Content insights page.

In the Reviews column, select the value shown, to open the slide-out screen. This will reveal all of the Reviews related to your chosen content item.

The following three entries will be visible, as summary cards:

  • Very useful - this may be chosen if the learning aids with personal or professional development goals

  • It was okay - this may be chosen if parts of the learning were relevant to their role, while others may be for when they advance in their position.

  • Not useful - this may be chosen if the content was out-dated, or no longer relevant for their new role.

All commentary made by your assigned Users, will appear within the slide-out screen, with their individual ratings, and the date they were submitted.

Click on the ratings you want to display within the screen. You can select multiple at a time.

Within the Content sub-page, you will have the option to open another slide-out screen. This will show the individual entry, for each User.

For Live Class, Webinar and Event content types

Clicking the Join button, will determine a Live Class/Webinar/Event as having been attended. This will trigger a notification requesting the User’s feedback.

If a Live Class, Webinar or Event (session) has multiple time slots, a User’s Review will apply to the session overall, and not just one individual slot. For example…

  • Live Class: Business Talks has a time slot for 10am and another for 4pm.

  • User A books on to the 10am slot and 4pm slot.

  • They’ve Attended the 10am slot and submitted their Review.

  • Managers will see the one review for Business Talks, on the content sub-page.

The data for the User’s review will update from No Review to one of the Review statuses, once submitted. This update will only be visible, once the User’s status changes from “Attending” to “Attended”.

Note✨: Using the Mark attended option, on the Bookings page, will also send an email and web-app notification to the User.

Skills Tracking

When a User is prompted to leave a Review, they'll also be prompted to update their Skills.

Once a user does this, you can view their average Skill level, for any Skill associated with the content, that they have updated. For example:

  • Course A has "Brand Development" assigned to it as a Skill.

  • User completes the Course > leaves a Review > Updates this Skills

  • Author/Manager can see the Level in the slide out screen of the Reviews column

This will update, whenever the User changes their level, or receives an endorsement from a Manager (if the level updated/given is different).

You will also notice a smaller icon next to the Skill name, showing a growth-arrow. This represents how many levels, the User has increased from their last average level. So, for example...

  • User sets average Skill Level = Level 1

  • Skills Level increase = 1 (because it started at "0", with no rating at all)

  • Author is asked to endorse it

  • Author endorsement = Level 4

  • Now User's average Skill Level = 3

  • Skill Level increase = 2 (jumping from an average level of 1 to now 3)

Exporting your Review data

To proceed with sharing this information in an easy-to-consume manner, select the Export button. This can be done on both the Content main page and subpage.

The CSV file exported, will show the values seen in the data table, but won’t display the commentary written by the Users.

Note✨: Some points to be aware of when it comes to reporting on Reviews:

  • For Courses with Renewal Cycles/Expiry Dates - the Review option will become visible to Users as soon as the Expiry Date arrives, even if they haven't completed the first cycle (and their Completion shows as 0%).

  • If a Lesson is deleted after a User has already submitted their Review, the Review given will remain. This will occur for the following example:

    • Course has multiple lessons (let's say 4 Lessons).

    • User completes 1 out of the 4 Lessons (25%).

    • Review option now appears for this User > they submit it.

    • Author later deletes the 1 completed Lesson.

    • Their Review remains; insights on Content sub-page show as In Progress.
