When creating Nuggets and Courses, there may be learning content that exists within your workspace, relevant to the topic, but is a supplementary part of the learning, and doesn't require a Pathway to be made for it.

This is where Existing Content can be used to provide additional information to your Users, and related resources. Your Existing content acts as a one-stop-shop of all content that falls under that topic.

There are two key places where you'll find the Existing Content feature...

Nuggets

  1. You can select the Existing Content icon within the toolbar of a Nugget.

  2. This will open the pop-up presenting a list of content items that you have created, or is from the web (third-party content). Search for the content you want to add to your Nugget.

  3. You can select Add, to include a link to your content item. But remember...

  • The Users who are assigned to your Nugget, must also be assigned to your Existing Content, in order to access it.

You may want to create a playlist of content, which includes various different content types (Live Class, Webinar, SCORM Course, etc), Channels or documents.

Note✨: If adding Channels, it's important to remember that only Channels with content assigned to them, will appear as an option within the Existing Content search results. Empty Channels won't be available.

Courses

You can use the Existing Content feature within a Course, to bring a dynamic learning experience to your Users. Perhaps you may want to include a playlist of content relevant to the learning materials, but not directly part of the curriculum.

Overall, whatever you decide to use Existing Content for, you will be guiding your Users to content that fits what they're learning. Remember, you can use a playlist to:

  • Create curriculums for your Learners to see all the content in their learning journey

  • Share a handbook of How-To content for your company tech stack

  • Provide a single document of FAQs for your Sales Enablement efforts

  • Publish a Compliance Course checklist with SCORM Courses for your team to complete

  • Create monthly company updates on team activities
