Meaning

Green tick

Completed. For an assessment: you passed, or you submitted it and passing isn't required.

Part-filled circle

In progress. You've opened it but not finished, you failed an assessment you need to pass, or your answers are waiting to be marked and you still need to pass.

Dotted circle

Not started.

Results and labels

Label

Meaning

Passed • 85%

You reached the pass mark. Your best passing score is shown, even if a later attempt scored lower.

Failed • 40%

Your latest marked attempt was below the pass mark, and you need to pass to complete the course.

Submitted

You've sent your answers, but they haven't been marked yet, for example because there are written answers.

A score on its own, such as 80%

Marked, but passing doesn't decide completion, so there's no pass or fail. SCORM lessons also show a score this way.

2 attempts left

How many more times you can submit. It appears after your first attempt and disappears once you pass. 0 attempts left means you can't retake it.

Unlimited attempts

You can retake it as often as you like until you pass. Like the attempts count, it appears after your first attempt.

A padlock on the right

Locked. Hover to see Included with premium Learning. The lesson opens once your budget request for this course is approved. While your request is waiting, the course shows Pending budget approval instead of a start button.

A clock and time, such as 1 min

The assessment is timed.

New

Added after you completed the course. Your course stays complete.

For example: if you score 60% on a knowledge check with a 70% pass mark that you must pass, you'll see Failed • 60% and a part-filled circle until you retake it and pass.
