Assessments sit inside courses, next to the lessons. You answer each question in turn, then submit your attempt for a score or for marking.

Before you start

If the assessment shows a clock and a time limit under Content Covered, such as 1 min, it's timed.

Answer the questions

  1. Open the course and select the assessment under Content Covered.

  2. Answer the first question.

    • Multiple choice: if more than one answer is right, the question says Select all that apply.

    • Written answer: you can't type past the question's character limit.

    • File upload: these can be images,

  3. Select the arrow at the bottom of the question card to save your answer and go to the next question. Use the back arrow to change an earlier answer.

Note: The Next button at the bottom of the screen moves to the next lesson without saving the question you're on.

  4. On the last question, select Save & Finish.

    Warning

You can't change your answers after you submit.

  5. If you're asked to Select your Marker for the assessment, choose a Marker or leave it blank, then select Submit.

If every question is multiple choice, your score appears straight away under Your Attempts. If there are written or upload answers, you'll see Thanks for your response, we will be back shortly with the results. and the attempt shows Pending until someone marks it.

Good to know

  • If the author requires a pass, the assessment only counts towards your course progress once you reach the passing grade.

  • If your answers need marking, your marker and the course author are notified when you submit. If you didn't choose a marker, everyone on the marker list is.

  • You're notified when a Marker has marked it.

  • Didn't pass? You may be able to retake it, based on what the Author has confirmed in the settings.
