Review requests and submitted reviews send an email and an in-app notification; level changes and skill list changes are in-app only; rating yourself notifies nobody.

Skill levels and skill lists

When

Who's told

How

What it says

Your level reaches a skill's target

You

In-app

"You've reached the target level N for your skill skill."

An admin or manager adds skills to your profile, or an admin removes you from a skill

"Your skill list has been updated by name."

There's no notification when you reach level 5 (Expert), only when you reach a skill's target level.

Good to know

  • People with Read Only access can't be asked for reviews, so they never get review request emails or tasks.
