Guru sends a small set of notifications: to learners when they're assigned, to Admins when a Guru is first published, and to the creator when something their Guru relies on is removed.
Learners
When | In-app notification | |
You're assigned a published Guru (when it's published, when the creator saves changes, or when you start matching its rules, for example by joining a group) | "You've been assigned to [Guru] Guru, your personal AI coach" | "You've been assigned to [Guru] by [creator]", with a Start Learning button. Sent only if the creator turned on Send an email notification to all assigned users (off by default) and you allow email notifications. |
Learners aren't notified when a Guru is edited, when they're unassigned or when a Guru is deleted.
Admins
When | |
A Guru is published for the first time | "A new Guru has been published", with the Guru's name, who published it and the date. Sent to everyone with Admin access who allows email notifications. |
Admins aren't emailed again when a published Guru is edited.
Guru creators
These go to the person who created the Guru, and only for published Gurus. Each email suggests a replacement so learners keep getting good answers.
