A Skill Review lets you rate yourself on each skill a Guru covers. The Guru uses your ratings to suggest what to practise, and saves them to your profile.
Before you start
The Guru needs skills added by its creator. If it has none, you'll see "No Skills added to the Guru" instead of the review.
Your workspace must let people change their own skills. If it doesn't, your ratings can't be saved, so check with your admin first.
Rate your skills
In the Guru chat, type "Start a skill review", or select a skill review if the Guru suggests one.
On the Review Your Skills card, select Get Started. The skills open full-screen, one at a time, for example "1 of 2 skills".
For each skill, select the level that best describes you: Novice, Beginner, Competent, Advanced or Expert. Hover over a level to see what it means for that skill.
The next skill opens a second after you choose. To change a rating, go back with the side arrows and pick another level.
After the last skill, your ratings are submitted automatically. You'll see "Nice work, you have reviewed" with the number of skills, then the Guru's insights on each skill and some suggestions for what to do next.
Select See Your Skills Review on the card to see the levels you chose.
Good to know
Your ratings update your profile. Each rating is saved as your self-review for that skill in Grow, replacing any earlier self-rating. A skill that wasn't on your profile is added.
The level shown on your skill card is the average of your self, manager and peer reviews, so it may not match your rating. See Rate yourself on a skill.
You can stop part-way. If you close the review after rating some skills, those ratings are saved. Skills you skip keep their existing rating.
Every skill on the Guru is included, even ones you rated recently.
You can ask for a review at any time, even when the Guru isn't suggesting one.
