Join a public Space to post, react, comment, book its events and use its resources. Anyone in your workspace can join, and you don't need the owner's approval.

Find the Space in Search, open it and select Join. You're a member straight away, with no approval needed.

Join a Space

  1. In the sidebar, select Search and type the Space's name. Public Spaces appear under Spaces in the results, even if you haven't joined them.

The Spaces section of the search results, with a Space highlighted

  3. Select Join, next to the Space's name.

The button changes to Joined and the Space appears under Spaces in your sidebar.

Join while you're trying to take part

You can read a public Space's feed before you join. If you try to post, react or comment, you'll see Join the space to take part. Select Join space, then carry on.

Good to know

  • Only public Spaces can be joined. Private Spaces don't appear in search unless you're a member, and opening one shows You don't have access to this page. Ask one of its owners or moderators to add you.

  • The owners aren't notified when you join.

  • Joining doesn't assign you anything. Items in the Space's Path or Resources

aren't added to your assigned learning.

  • You can leave at any time and rejoin a public Space whenever you like.
