Delete a Space

Owners open the Space's settings, select Danger Zone › Delete Space, then Yes, Delete. It can't be undone; the learning and events in it aren't deleted.

Delete a Space when it's no longer needed, for example once a store has opened and the opening team has moved on.

Before you start

  • Only owners can delete a Space. Moderators don't see the Danger Zone section where the option sits.

  • If you only want to stop being part of it, use the leave option.

Delete the Space

  1. Open the Space from Spaces in the sidebar, then select the settings (cog) icon.

  2. Select Danger Zone, then Delete Space.

  3. In Delete This Space?, select Yes, Delete.

Remember: Deleting a Space can't be undone. Its posts, comments, member list and settings are removed for everyone, and the other members get a notification, for example Store Opening Team has been deleted.

You'll see Space deleted successfully and land on Home. The Space disappears from everyone's Spaces list, and old links to it no longer open.

What's kept and what's lost

Lost with the Space

Kept

Posts, comments and reactions

The courses, nuggets and pathways that were in Resources or Path

Members and their Space roles

Events, and people's bookings for them

Settings, tabs and pins

Members' progress on the learning

Good to know

  • Hiding a tab is less drastic. If the Space is still useful but one part isn't.
