Put your organisation's logo, browser icon and homepage banner on HowNow so it looks like your own platform. Changes apply to everyone in your workspace as soon as you upload.

Before you start

  • You need Admin access to see the WORKSPACE section in Settings.

  • Use a PNG or JPEG under 4 MB, at least the size shown below. The size hints on screen don't all agree, so go by this table.

Where it's used

Shape

Use at least

Logo

Emails, reports and exports, and the sign-in pages

Square

512 × 512 px

Favicon

The sidebar and the browser tab

Square

400 × 400 px

Homepage thumbnail

The banner at the top of the Home page in Classic Mode

Wide, 4:1

1200 × 300 px

Upload an image

  1. Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Settings.

  2. Under WORKSPACE, select Branding.

  3. Next to Logo, Favicon or Homepage thumbnail, select Change. If no image has been added yet, the button says Upload.

  4. Drop your file in the window or select Choose files. To use a stock photo instead, select From Unsplash.

  5. Drag the crop area to frame the image, then select Upload.

The new image shows on the Branding page straight away. If the upload fails, you'll see an error and the previous image comes back.

Change next to Logo in Settings › Branding

The upload window with Upload and From Unsplash tabs

Remove the homepage banner

Next to Homepage thumbnail, select Remove. HowNow's default banner comes back straight away.

Remember: There's no confirmation and you can't undo it. Keep a copy of your banner if you might want it again.

Good to know

  • The logo and favicon can't be removed, only replaced. Remove only appears for a homepage banner you've uploaded.

  • Small images are refused. You'll see Image is too small. Use at least 400 × 400 px. (or 1200 × 300 px for the banner).

  • Files over 4 MB are refused with 1 file was not attached: over the 4 MB limit.
