Set your brand colour

Your brand colour replaces HowNow's red on buttons, links and highlights, so the platform matches your organisation. It applies to everyone in your workspace.

Before you start

  • You need Admin access to see the WORKSPACE section in Settings.

  • Have your colour as a hex code, such as 0A66C2.

Change the colour

  1. Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then select Settings.

  2. Under WORKSPACE, select Branding.

  3. Under Colour, in the Brand Colour box, replace the code with your six characters, without the #. To choose by eye instead, select the swatch next to the box and drag to pick a colour.

  4. Select anywhere outside the box, or close the colour picker.

The colour saves as soon as you leave the box or close the picker, with no Save button or confirmation message. The swatch shows your new colour, and buttons, links and highlights across HowNow use it for everyone, including the sign-in page.

Good to know

  • Only valid hex codes save. Anything else shows Enter a valid hex colour (e.g. DA3556) and your previous colour stays. See "Enter a valid hex colour" when setting the brand colour.

  • There's no reset button. To go back to HowNow's default red, type DA3556.

  • Check contrast. Button text sits on your brand colour, so a very light colour such as pale yellow can make it hard to read. Pick a shade dark enough for white text.

  • The swatch previews the colour once you've typed six valid characters, but

nothing saves until you leave the box.
