Resend an invite to people who haven't joined

Written by Sunil Sharma

Send the invitation email again to people who haven't signed in yet, for example if the first one went to their spam folder. Each resend contains a fresh link to set their password.

Before you start

  • You need Admin access to resend from the people list. Managers can only use the Pending Invites card for people in their groups.

  • Only people who are Invited and have never signed in get an invite. Deactivated people, people who have already signed in and people who sign in with single sign-on (SSO) are left out.

  • If your workspace only uses SSO, resending isn't available: people sign in with the SSO button instead.

Resend to specific people

  1. In the sidebar, select Manage › People.

  2. Tick the people you want to remind. To find them quickly, set the Status filter to Invited.

  3. In the bar at the bottom, select More Actions › Resend Invite.

More Actions menu with Resend Invite highlighted

  4. If some of the people you picked can't be sent an invite, a Resend Invites window shows how many will get one and why the rest are excluded, for example "1 user is already active". Select Resend Invites to continue.

Remember: If everyone you picked can be sent an invite, the emails go straight away, with no confirmation step.

You'll see a message that the invites are being sent, and get a notification when they've been sent.

Resend to everyone pending

On Manage › People, select Resend on the Pending Invites card. The card shows how many invites are pending and how many have been pending for more than 7 days.

Remember: This emails every pending person in your workspace at once, with no confirmation step.

Good to know

  • Resending doesn't use another seat: invited people already have one.

  • For large sends, you're also emailed a delivery summary.

  • To resend to one person, open the actions menu on their row and select More › Resend Invite.

  • Resend only appears on the Pending Invites card when someone is pending.
