Every great team leader wants to help their team members grow and upskill in their roles. To help with this, we've included the Learning History tab on the Groups page.

To view the data for content that your teams are learning...

1. Click the Group page and select your desired Group. This takes you to the Group's sub-page.

2. Click on the Learning History tab.

3. You will see the summary cards and data table of content being learned by your Users.

Summary Cards

  • Content - total number of content items your chosen Group is learning (this is not per User).

  • Users - the number of the Group's Users who are actively learning content. If a User is not learning content (e.g., added to your platform, but has not opened or been assigned to any content), they won't appear as part of this value.

  • Skills in progress - the number of unique Skills associated with the number of content items (from summary card 1) assigned to the Group.

  • Must-Do Completion Rate - the percentage of Users from this Group, who've completed all verified Must-Do content assigned to them.

Data Table

The Learning History data table, includes the following columns:

  • Name - the name of the Content Users of this Group have been assigned to or started learning.

  • Author - either the User responsible for creating the content (in the Studio), or your learning library provider (LinkedIn, Udemy, etc.).

  • Collaborator - the number of Collaborators on the content. Clicking this number opens a slide screen showing the names of the Collaborators.

  • Assignees - the number of Users, of this Group, who are assigned to the content. Clicking this number opens a slide screen showing the names of the Group's Users.

  • Type - the content type: Course, Nugget, SCORM, Live Class, Event, or Webinar. Learning library content type will show as a Course type.

  • Duration - the amount of time expected for Users to complete the content.

  • Published Date - the date when the content was published. This is blank ("-") for learning library content.

  • Cost Per Learner - the cost of the Course (if applied by the Author). Clicking on the "+n more" option, will reveal a slide screen, featuring all the additional costs in various currencies listed (if applicable).

  • Completion Rate - the Completion Rate of the Group's Users assigned to the content. For example:

    • 45 Users from the Group are assigned to a Course

    • 30 of these Users have completed the Course

    • The value will show as 67% Completion Rate. (Learning library completion rates will show as blank ("-").

Important❗- For Live Class/Event/Webinar content, the Completion Rate will be based on the number of people who booked a time slot, and actually joined the session, and not the number of Users assigned. For example:

    • 20 Users are assigned to Live Class A

    • 6 Users booked time slots

    • 3 of those 6 joined the Live Class

    • The Completion Rate will show as 50%

  • Channels - the Channels this content has been assigned to (this includes Learning Library content). Clicking on "+n more" opens a slide screen, revealing all its Channels.

  • Verification Status - whether the content is Pending verification or the verification is up-to-date. Learning Library content cannot be verified.

  • Rewards - all Rewards that are associated with this content. Clicking on the Rewards opens a slide screen, revealing all the Rewards for the content. Learning Library content won't have Rewards.

Note ✨: If content has been unpublished, no entry will appear in the table, regardless if the Users are still assigned to it or not. A content item's entry will remain in the table, only if assigned Users have started it (In Progress) or completed it.

4. You can use the filters to determine what content is shown within the data table.

  • Published Date - the date the content was published

  • Source - content created in the HowNow Studio, Learning Library content, or both

  • Type - the content type (Course, Nugget, etc.).

  • Channels - the Channels where content has been started/opened by a member in the Group.

  • Author - only content created by your chosen Author

Last Updated On...

Next to the filter button, and above the final summary card, you'll see the Last updated on notifier. This is exclusive to the Group Learning History page.

The date and time shown represents when the data table was last updated, based on data being renewed within every 3 hours. It will show based on your current time-zone.

An update is considered to be one of the following:

  1. Existing content is unassigned

  2. There is progress made by assignees on existing content assigned to the Group

Note: The following points - about the Group Learning History page - to remember, are...

  • The Everyone Group will not show the Group Learning History tab.

  • Collaborators who aren't Managers in the Group, can't click to view Users' sub-pages (only Managers within the Group and Admins have this access).

Group Learning History Content sub-page

It’s also possible to view the Progress any member of your Group is making on a specific content item, by opening the Group Learning History (GLH) content sub-page.

Click the content’s name, to open the sub-page.

On the GLH content sub-page, you will see the following summary cards:

  • Users Assigned - the number of Users - from the Group - assigned to the content

  • Percentage Completed - based on how many of the assigned Group members have completed the content

  • Average Time Spent - this is calculated across these Users only

  • Likes - how many of the Users have given the content a “Like”

The data table will present the same User data as can be found on the content item’s Content sub-page.

Exceptions include: no Groups column and Tags added from the main Content sub-page, can only be viewed on the GLH content sub-page, and not added/removed.
