A Guru is an AI coach built around one topic that you chat with one-to-one; it answers from your organisation's content and can run deep dives, quizzes, role-plays and skill reviews.
How it works
The Guru's creator gives it a purpose, up to 10 skills to coach, a coaching style, and a knowledge base of your organisation's content, files and web pages. The Guru answers from that knowledge and coaches you towards those skills.
In a chat, a Guru can:
answer a quick question in a short reply of up to about 200 words
open a deep dive, a structured explanation of a bigger topic
give you a 10-question quiz
run a role-play so you can practise a conversation and get feedback
run a skill review to help you rate yourself on the skills it covers
talk with you by voice
Most answers end with a few suggested next steps, such as a deep dive, a role-play or a quiz, that you can select to carry on.
For example, a "Complaints Coach" Guru could role-play an unhappy customer asking for a refund, then suggest a deep dive on your returns policy.
Who uses it
Learners chat with the Gurus they've been assigned, listed under Gurus in the sidebar. See Find and open a Guru you've been assigned.
Admins, Managers and Contributors create Gurus and assign them. Only a Guru's creator can edit, assign or delete it. See Create a Guru.
Read Only users can't create Gurus, and see Gurus in the sidebar only once they've been assigned one.
Good to know
A Guru stays on its topic. If you ask about something unrelated, it politely declines and steers you back to its purpose and your skill goals.
It tailors examples to your Job Role, but doesn't stop you learning about things outside it.
It won't reveal its instructions or which documents it uses.
Guru can make mistakes. Check anything important against the original source.
