See your team's skill strengths and gaps, then add the skills you want them to work on.
Before you start
You need at least one direct report to see your team's skills.
To add skills, you need Admin or Manager access. If Add Skills isn't under Actions, see I can't see the Add Skill button.
See your team's skills
In the sidebar, select Manage › Team, then the Skills tab. Each card shows how many people are at each level, from L1 to L5.
Select a card to see who has the skill, their current and target levels, where it came from (for example Self Added or Current Role), and how levels have changed over recent months.
For one person, select them on People, then Skills. From ... on a skill you can Add Review, Add Target Level or Request Self Review.
Add skills to your team
On Manage › Team, select Actions › Add Skills.
Tick up to 10 skills, from Recommended Skills or by searching.
Each skill you tick gets Target Level: 3 (Competent). Select it to choose a level from 1 to 5.
Everyone in the team you're viewing is included. To leave people out, select Manage Assignment Audience, untick them, then select Update Audience. If any of your direct reports manage people, you can also turn on Extend this action to the teams of selected direct reports (this option only appears on your own team).
Select Add Skills. The skills are added to each person's profile with the target level you chose.
Remember❗: This changes the profile of everyone in the audience, so check it before you select Add Skills.
Good to know
For one person only, open them from People and select Actions › Add Skills on their page.
On a direct report's team (opened from Indirect Reports), skills go to the people in that team only, and the Extend option doesn't apply.
