Message multiple team members at once

S
Written by Sunil Sharma

Send the same message to lots of people at once, for example to thank everyone who finished a course. Each person gets it in their own private conversation with you, and replies come back to you one by one.

From Messages

  1. Select your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then Messages, then New Message.

  2. In Send your message to, choose people or groups. Admins can also choose Everyone.

Note: "Everyone" sends the message to every person in your workspace, each in their own conversation.

  3. Write your message and select Send message.

  4. If you chose more than one person or a group, select Send Message to confirm.

The Send message? confirmation saying every member of the group gets the message in their own private thread

The message appears in your conversation with each person, alongside anything you've sent them before.

From Manage › People

  1. In the sidebar, select Manage › People and tick the people you want.

  2. Select More Actions › Message.

  3. Write your message and select Send Message.

To message one person, select the three-dot menu on their row, then More › Message.

From Manage › Groups

  1. In the sidebar, select Manage › Groups.

  2. Select ... on the group's row, then More › Message Group.

  3. Write your message and select Send Message. It goes to every member of the group.

To the learners on a piece of content

  1. In the sidebar, select Manage › Learning, select the three-dot menu on the item's row, then View Learning Details, then View All Learners.

  2. Select the three-dot menu on one learner's row and choose Send Message, or tick several learners and select Send Message in the bar at the bottom.

  3. Write your message and select Send Message.

Good to know

  • Managers can only choose their direct reports in New Message, not groups, so the list is empty if nobody reports to you. To message a group you manage, use Manage › Groups.

  • Messages can be up to 1,000 characters, with up to 5 attachments (JPG, PNG or PDF, up to 10 MB each).

  • You can't message yourself or deactivated people. They're left out of a group or multi-person send.
