How Authors, Collaborators and Verifiers work

S
Written by Sunil Sharma

Each piece of content has an author and a verifier, and can have collaborators. Together they decide who can change it and who keeps it up to date.

How it works

  • Author: whoever created the content. Their name shows on the content page.

  • Collaborators: people who help build and look after it. Add them in the

Collaborators field on the editor's first step.

  • Verifier: the person who confirms the content is still accurate. Every course and nugget needs a Verifier and a Verification interval of 1 to 12 months. Both default to you and 1 Month. When verification is due, the verifier is reminded to check it.

For example, a store trainer writes "Resolving Escalated Complaints" and adds an area manager as a collaborator. The customer service lead is the Verifier, with a Verification interval of 6 Months, so every six months they're asked to confirm the course is still right.

Note: Each collaborator you add gets an in-app notification straight away.

Good to know

  • Admins need to be added as a collaborator to edit or unpublish someone else's content.

  • Only the named verifier can mark content as verified; an admin can't do it for them.

  • A verifier sees the content in Manage › Content only while it's published.

  • Unlike collaborators, the verifier isn't notified when you choose them.
