Add downloadable resources to a session

Written by Sunil Sharma

Give attendees handouts, slides or worksheets to download, such as a quick-reference sheet for a live Q&A. Resources are for webinars, live classes and events.

Before you start

  • You need to be the author or a collaborator on the session.

  • Courses and nuggets don't have resources. To give learners a file there, add a File item to a lesson.

Add resources

  1. Open the session and go to Add Resources (step three, after Date & Time).

  2. Select the paperclip icon next to the +.

The Add Resources step of a webinar with one PDF listed and the paperclip icon highlighted

  3. In Add resource Content, drop a file onto the box or click it to choose one, then select Save.

  4. Repeat for each file, then select Save & Continue.

Each file is listed under Add resources for this webinar (or live class, or event). The step is optional, so you can skip it and add resources later.

Which files you can add

Each file can be up to 25 MB. You can add JPG, PNG, GIF, PDF, Word (DOC, DOCX), Excel (XLS, XLSX, XLSM), PowerPoint (PPTX), CSV, TXT, RTF, ZIP, MP3, WMA, MPG, FLV and AVI files.

What learners see

The session page has a Resources section listing each file. When there's more than one file, Download All saves them together as a zip.
