Which content you can add to a pathway

S
Written by Sunil Sharma

When you add a step to a pathway, you choose where the content comes from. Some sources only appear when they're set up for your workspace.

Content sources

Source

What it includes

When it's shown

My Content

Published content made in your workspace: courses, nuggets, SCORM courses, events, live classes and webinars. You see content you created or collaborate on, plus content whose author allowed Redistribution.

Always

From the Web

Web articles from the sources your workspace has set up. Search by keyword, for example "customer service".

Only when web content is turned on for your workspace

HowNow+

Partner content from the HowNow+ catalogue.

Only when HowNow+ is turned on for your workspace

My Integrations

Courses from connected libraries, such as Udemy For Business or LinkedIn Learning.

Only when your workspace has at least one active content integration

Two more options are in the same menu, but they don't add learning content:

  • New Section groups steps into stages.

  • Add Rewards adds a badge or certificate.

Create with AI appears only on a pathway with no steps. It picks content from the sources you choose.

What can't be added

Content

Why

Drafts and unpublished content

Only published content is listed.

Content set to Only with Link

It's left out of My Content. Change its visibility to another option first.

A colleague's content without Redistribution

You can only add it if the author or a collaborator turns on Redistribution in its settings.

An item already in the pathway

Each item can only be added once.

When a step counts as complete

Step type

Complete when the learner…

Course, nugget or SCORM course

completes it

Event, live class or webinar

joins the session

Web article (From the Web)

opens it (the article opens in a new tab)

HowNow+ or integration course

completes it, and the provider reports the completion to HowNow

Learners who already completed an item before it was added get that step ticked off automatically, with its original completion date.
