A live class is a small online session at set times, such as a role-play practice group. Learners book a time, then join from HowNow.
Before you start
You need Admin, Manager or Contributor access. If Use HowNow Virtual isn't offered, your workspace has it turned off and you'll need a custom link.
Create the live class
Select + at the top of the sidebar, then Host a Session › Live Class. The editor opens in a new tab and saves a draft straight away.
On Information, add the name, a summary and a description. Under Thumbnail, choose an image, then select Save & Continue.
On Date & Time, choose the Live Class Duration and, under When do bookings close?, how long before the start people can still book. For example, 1 Hours stops bookings an hour before.
Pick the Start Time and set the time zone to where the host will be. Learners see times in their own time zone. To repeat the class, turn on Recurring event and set How often? and Until?. For extra one-off dates, select Add availability. Select Save & Continue.
On Add Resources, add any handouts and select Save & Continue.
On Assign Learners, select people or groups, then Apply and Save & Continue.
On Release & Deadline, under Live Class Type, choose where the class runs:
Use HowNow Virtual: HowNow's own classroom, with up to 10 bookings per session.
Use custom link: paste a Teams, Google Meet or other meeting link, with up to 10,000 bookings. Check your tool can take the number you set.
Use GoToWebinar: only available once you've connected a GoToWebinar account.
Note: Once anyone books, you can't change the Live Class Type.
Under Session Type, choose Group, or One-to-One for one learner per session.
For a group, enter the Maximum allowed bookings per session. One-to-One sessions don't need one.
Choose the Content Visibility, then select Save & Publish.
The live class is published, and assigned learners can book a time from its page.
