Guru is switched on for each workspace by HowNow, and your plan sets how many Gurus can be published at the same time. Admins can't turn it on or change the limit in Settings.
How it works
Turning Guru on. There's no Guru switch in Settings › Features. To turn Guru on or off, contact your Customer Success Manager or HowNow support. Once it's on, a Gurus section appears in the sidebar. People with Admin, Manager or Contributor access can create Gurus with the + next to it, which opens a new tab. Read Only people can use the Gurus they're assigned but can't create them, and they only see the section once they have at least one Guru.
The Guru limit. Your plan allows a set number of published Gurus. Only published Gurus count:
drafts don't count, so you can prepare as many as you like;
editing and republishing a Guru that's already live doesn't use another place;
deleting a published Guru frees a place.
For example, with a limit of 3 and three Gurus live, a fourth can be saved as a draft but not published. Its Create button is greyed out, and hovering over it shows Guru limit reached. Upgrade for more.
If Guru is turned off. The Gurus section disappears from the sidebar and Guru pages can't be opened. The Gurus themselves aren't deleted.
Guru Mode homepage. Choosing Guru Mode under Homepage in Settings › Features is a separate switch that HowNow also controls. If Guru Mode can't be selected there, ask your Customer Success Manager.
Who uses it
Admins decide with HowNow whether to use Guru and how many Gurus the workspace needs.
Admins, Managers and Contributors build and publish Gurus within the limit.
Everyone, including Read Only people, uses the Gurus they're assigned.
