Groups let you assign learning, link budgets and track progress for a set of people together, such as a store team, a region or a new-starter cohort.
Before you start
You need Admin or Manager access.
Create the group
In the sidebar, select Manage › Groups.
Select Create Group.
Enter a Group Name (up to 200 characters). It must be different from every other group in your workspace, including groups you can't see. If it's taken, you'll see "Group name '…' already exists."
Optionally, add a Description (up to 250 characters) so other admins know what the group is for. For example: "Store colleagues who wrap gifts and help customers choose cards at the gift desk."
Select Create Group.
The group's page opens with "Group name created". It starts with no members, so the next step is usually to add people to it.
Note: If you're a Manager, you're added to the group you create with the Manager group access level, so you can keep managing it. Admins aren't added, because they can manage every group.
Good to know
Managers only see their own groups. On Manage › Groups, a Manager sees only the groups where their group access level is Manager or Admin.
Everyone is built in. Every workspace has an Everyone group that contains all people automatically. You can't rename it, delete it or change who's in it.
Nobody is notified when you create a group.
