Make a skill one of someone's focus skills so their Home page recommends learning for it. Use it to point a person at the skill that matters most right now, such as store opening procedures for a new key holder.
Before you start
You need Admin access.
The person must already have the skill added to their Profile.
Add a focus skill for someone
In the sidebar, select Manage › Skills, then select the skill's name. The skill opens in a new browser tab.
Under People, select View All People.
On the person's row, select the three-dot menu, then More › Add to Focus.
You'll see "was added as a focus skill for"
Their Focused Skill column changes to Yes, and the skill shows with a star on their Grow page.
Note: Each person can have up to five focus skills. If they already have five, remove one of theirs before you add another.
Remove a focus skill
On the person's row, select ⋯, then More › Remove from Focus. The skill stays on their profile with its level and reviews.
Good to know
You change one person at a time. There's no bulk option.
People can change their own focus skills on Grow, so they may remove one you added.
