Delete a job role you no longer use. Everyone who has the role loses it from their profile.
Before you start
You need Admin access.
Check who's in the role first: the People column in Manage › Roles shows how many. If they should move to another role, change it on their profile in Manage › People before you delete.
Delete one role
In the sidebar, select Manage › Roles.
Hover over the role, select ⋯, then Delete Role. On the role's own page, use Actions › Delete Role.
In Delete This Role?, select Yes, Delete.
Note: You can't undo this. Everyone in the role has it removed from their profile, and nobody is told.
The role disappears from the Roles list.
Delete several roles
In Manage › Roles, tick the roles.
Select Delete in the bar at the bottom of the page.
Type DELETE ROLES in the box, then select Yes, Delete.
Remember: You can't undo this. Everyone in these roles has their role removed from their profile.
The roles disappear from the Roles list.
What happens to people's skills
Skills that came only from the role, and that the person never rated or was reviewed on, are removed from their profile.
Skills they rated, or were reviewed on, stay on their profile.
Skills they added themselves stay as they are.
Good to know
Skills aren't deleted. They stay in Manage › Skills; only their link to the role goes.
HowNow library roles are only removed from your workspace. You can add one back from Add Role, but you'll need to map its skills again.
