The Chrome extension turns the web page you're reading into a nugget that links to it, so you can share a useful article or guide with your groups without leaving the page.
Before you start
You need the extension installed and signed in.
You need Admin, Manager or Contributor access. With Read Only access, the extension says "You're not authorized to access this page. Please check your permissions."
Save the page
On the web page in Chrome, right-click anywhere and select Add to HowNow. The Add Nugget form opens in the HowNow panel. You can also open the extension and select the + icon (Add to HowNow).
Check Title and Short Description, which are filled in from the page. Each takes up to 150 characters, and Title is required.
Check that URL is the page's address and Language is right.
Optionally, enter a Duration (up to 99 hours 59 minutes) so people know how long it takes.
Under Share with, select one or more groups. This is required.
Remember: Everyone in the groups you choose is assigned the nugget, including people who join those groups later. If you turn on Send an e-mail notification to all assigned users, they all get an email.
Turn on any options you need:
Mark as Mandatory: people must complete it.
Content Visibility: where people can find it. It starts on Visible Everywhere. To use Only with Link, turn off Redistribution first.
Redistribution: lets people it's assigned to share it with others.
Top Picks or Announcements: features it on people's Home.
Under Thumbnail Image, choose an image from the page, or select Upload Image to search for a picture or upload your own (PNG or JPG, up to 3 MB).
Select Add Nugget.
You'll see Nugget Added, and the panel returns to the extension's home. The nugget is published straight away and appears in Manage › Content.
Good to know
If you're not an Admin, Share with lists only the groups where your group access level lets you share content.
You're set as the nugget's verifier, with a monthly reminder to check the link still works. Change this by editing the nugget in HowNow.
The extension's form still uses some older wording, so the visibility options may not match the labels you see in HowNow.
