Check someone's learning progress

Written by Sunil Sharma

See everything assigned to someone, what's overdue and what they've finished, for example before a one-to-one.

Before you start

You need Admin or Manager access.

  • Admins can open anyone from Manage › People.

  • Managers: Manage › People lists the members of groups where you have the Manager role, not your direct reports. For people who report to you, use Manage › Team (see If they report to you).

Open someone's Learning page

  1. In the sidebar, select Manage › People and find the person.

  2. Select ... on their row, then More › View Profile. Their profile opens in a new browser tab.

  3. Under Learning, select View All Learning.

The top of a person's Learning page with the Time Spent, Items Overdue and Completion cards

Their assigned items are listed below three summary cards:

  • Time Spent: all their learning time, with time on assigned learning this month underneath.

  • Items Overdue: assigned items past their due date. Select View to list only those.

  • Completion: the share of their assigned items they've finished.

To bring unfinished and overdue items to the top, set the sort to Attention needed.

Follow up on an item

Select ... on an item's row. Depending on the item and your access, you'll see:

  • Send Reminder: emails the person about that item, once a day at most.

  • Mark as Completed: records a completion for them, for example after in-person training.

  • View Content: opens the item itself.

  • View Details: shows their progress, bookings and past attempts on that item.

If they report to you

  1. In the sidebar, select Manage › Team.

  2. Select the person. Their Learning tab lists everything assigned to them, with its status and progress. Switch to Mandatory for their mandatory training.

  3. Select an item to see their progress and time spent on it.

This view doesn't have the summary cards or the ... menu. To remind your whole team about an item, use the Learning tab on Manage › Team.

Good to know

  • The list includes everything assigned to them, including items assigned to everyone in your workspace, not just what you assigned. Add the Access Via column to see how each item reached them.

  • To switch to their mandatory training, skills, budgets or achievements, select the arrow next to Learning at the top of the page.

  • You can't send reminders or mark items as complete for someone who's been deactivated.
