Use Top Picks and Announcements to make content stand out on learners' Home page, for example a new course you're launching this month.
Before you start
You need to be an Admin, or the content's author, collaborator or verifier.
Both settings only reach people the content is assigned to. They don't share it with anyone new, so assign it first.
Turn on Top Picks or Announcements
In the sidebar, select Manage › Content.
On the content's row, select ..., then More › Manage Settings.
Turn on one or both:
Top Picks: adds it to the Top Picks row on the learner's For You tab. Use it for content you recommend but don't require.
Announcements: adds it to the Announcements tab on the learner's Home page. Use it for news-style content, such as a new returns policy.
Select Save Changes. You'll see "Settings saved."
Assigned learners see the content on their Home page. A number on the Announcements tab shows new announcements until they open it.
You can also turn these on in the editor: on the Release & Deadline step for a course, or in Settings for a nugget.
Good to know
The Top Picks row only shows content whose Content Visibility is Visible Everywhere, and only items the learner hasn't started yet.
Scheduled and draft content isn't featured until it's published.
If everyone must complete it, make it mandatory instead, or as well.
