Mark learners as attended

Written by Sunil Sharma

Mark who came to a live class, webinar or event. It completes the content for them, so do it after every in-person event, where there's no join link to record attendance.

Before you start

You need to be the content's author or a collaborator, or an Admin.

Mark attendance

  1. Open the content's Sessions page.

  2. Select the session's date to open it.

  3. Tick the learners who attended, or tick the box in the header to select everyone.

  4. Select Mark as Attended in the bar at the bottom.

A session with one learner ticked and Mark as Attended highlighted in the bar at the bottom

  5. Select Yes, Proceed.

Note: You can't unmark someone, so check your selection before you proceed.

You'll see a message such as 1 learner marked as attended, and each learner's Status changes from Attending to Attended. In the content's Learning Activity, they show as Completed.

Who gets marked

Only learners who have an active booking, haven't been marked already and are still assigned the content are marked. If your selection includes others, the confirmation says how many will be marked and why the rest are left out, for example "1 learner is unassigned".

Good to know

  • You can mark attendance before or after the session; there's no time limit.

  • If a learner's recorded time is less than the session length, it's topped up to the full length.
