Build a learning path in a Space

Written by Sunil Sharma

A Space's Path is an ordered list of learning you suggest members take, for example the courses a new store colleague should do in their first week.

Before you start

You need to be an owner or moderator of the Space. If there's no Path tab, it may be hidden.

Add content to the path

  1. Open the Space from Spaces in the sidebar, then select Path.

  2. Start adding:

    • If the path is empty, select Add Path Content.

    • If it already has items, hover over the item you want to add after and select the + icon to its left.

The + icon to the left of a path item, shown on hover

  3. Search for content, tick each item you want, then select Add. To find your organisation's own courses and nuggets faster, select the filter icon, then Source, and choose your workspace's name.

The items appear in the path at the point you chose.

Note:

  • A path can hold up to 100 items, counting the ones already in it. If you tick more than there's room for, you'll see Limit of Items Reached. Tick fewer items, or remove some from the path first.

  • Other owners and moderators get a notification that the path was updated. Members don't.

Change the order

Hover over an item and drag it by its handle to a new position. The new order saves straight away.

Remove an item

Hover over the item, select the bin icon, then Yes, Remove. The item leaves the path, but members keep their progress on it.

Good to know

  • The path isn't assigned. Members don't get it in their assigned learning and there's no due date. To set a deadline, assign the content separately.

  • Members can take items in any order. The order is a suggestion; nothing unlocks step by step. If the order must be enforced, add a pathway instead.

  • You can track progress. The Path panel in View Insights shows what share of members have completed, started or not started the path.
