After you connect Google Drive, OneDrive, SharePoint, Dropbox, Confluence, Notion or Zendesk, a HowNow search also looks through your files there, so you don't have to search each tool separately.
Find a file
In the sidebar, select Search, or press Ctrl+K (Cmd+K on a Mac).
Type at least two characters, for example "store opening rota".
Look under Files, and select a file. It opens in its own app, in a new tab.
To see files from one app only, select that app's logo on the right of a file, or select Source and tick the app. Select the logo again to remove the filter.
Good to know
Only you see your files. HowNow searches each app as you, so you only get files you can already open there. Colleagues searching the same words won't see them.
Some filters hide Files. Titles only, Duration, Type and Language apply to learning, so Files disappears when you use them, unless you've also picked one of your apps in Source.
A slow app can be skipped. If an app takes longer than about a second and a half to answer, its files are left out of that search. Try again in a moment.
Files stop appearing if you disconnect the app, your admin switches it off, or your connection expires. Check Settings › Your Apps for a message under the app.
